背景
近年来,随着adas(高级驾驶辅助系统)的发展和车载信息娱乐系统的功能增加,车载显示器的尺寸日趋增大。这就要求用于车载显示器液晶背光的led驱动器具有更高的驱动效率,能够在提高额定输出电流的同时降低功耗。此外,如果车载显示器出现闪烁,其视认性将会降低,相关应用将处于不安全的状态,因此要求led驱动器还要具有高可靠性。然而,传统的led驱动器,存在ic本身功耗大和pwm调光时有可能发生闪烁等问题。对此,rohm通过采用自有的低功耗技术和无缝pwm调光技术,成功开发出功耗低、而且从低亮度到高亮度区间均难以发生闪烁的液晶背光led驱动器。
概要
产品通过采用rohm自有的低功耗技术,成功降低了led驱动器电流控制电路中的损耗。因此,在常规的规格条件下(led电路电流:80ma/ch,电源电压:12v),相比以往产品,ic整体的功耗可降低20%左右,在配有中、大型车载显示器的应用中使用这些产品,有助于进一步改善此类应用的关键问题——功耗。另外,配备dc调光和pwm调光两种调光方式,可以支持多种规格。而且,pwm调光还采用了rohm自有的无缝pwm调光技术,从低亮度区间到高亮度区间,不需要切换其电流反馈模式。采用普通pwm调光方式时,低亮度和高亮度时的电流反馈模式切换是造成闪烁的原因。此次的产品无需电流反馈模式的切换,因而可以降低发生闪烁的风险,有助于提高应用产品的可靠性。
